HELP SAVE THE LADY NORWOOD BEGONIA HOUSE
The Wellington City Council thinks it should no longer stand by its agreements. Sixty-five years ago, the council was gifted the Begonia House in the Botanic Gardens and which houses hundreds of exotic plants.
Named after the generous donors, the Norwood Family, the Lady Norwood Begonia House is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike – a Wellington tourist attraction.
Wellington City Council is sacrificing the Begonia House on the alter of climate change. There is a moral and legal obligation to protect what has become a Wellington landmark.
