Will comical commentary give the Wellington City Council a run for its (your) money?
A new publication has hit the streets of Wellington and looks set to send up all the shenanigans and ridiculous decisions being made by the City Council.
This showed up in our Inbox the other day, and to be honest, we’re a little lost for words.
We don’t know how often this publication will come out or whether it’s merely a one-off, but, hey, anything that gets people thinking about how to make our city better, how to remove the political party viruses from the council table, and jolt ratepayers into taking action, can’t be a bad thing.
This new publication is called “The Roast”, a play on the name of the local Wellington daily newspaper, and, from the content of its “articles”, its publishers evidently are considerably unhappy with current council direction. (Who can blame them, after all, this website (Better Wellington) has been created as a vehicle to highlight the council madness that’s infecting the city!)
We’ll leave the judgements, recriminations, bouquets and brick-bats to you, our readers.
